Strengthen Your Company’s Workforce
June 26th, 2008Ohio is committed to providing a skilled, educated workforce to help the state's business community grow and prosper. With a premier education system, the state is poised to produce next-generation graduates for emerging and leading industries. This commitment is combined with strong workforce training programs and innovative job-creation and worker-retention programs such as the Ohio Third Frontier Project and the EnterpriseOhio Network.
The state's business community can take advantage of several free programs and financial assistance opportunities designed to stimulate the availability of educated labor to serve industry-specific needs. In addition, the Strickland Administration has laid out a plan for talent development in Ohio, including rapid response services, worker credentialing, training, and business services. This comprehensive approach to workforce training illustrates Ohio’s commitment to businesses and the economy.
John Kratz, president of Information Control Corporation (ICC), shared with me that he believes Ohio has the resources in place to attract skilled technology workers, because of the state’s commitment to higher education, recruitment and strong business network. ICC is a privately owned ITI services company that provides project services, software development, business intelligence and technology infrastructure.
